Changelog

What's shipped,release by release.

A plain-language digest of every release — what a coach would actually notice, not the internal build notes.

Version stamps carry two letters — the first counts development releases, the second counts design releases — merged into one stamp per version.

0.3
0.3.ND2026-08-10
  • The contact page now reaches real team inboxes — support@, feedback@, and info@ at deckbuddy.app — with security@ for vulnerability reports.
  • This changelog page caught up with the release history (it had stalled at 0.3.MB).
0.3.NC2026-08-10
  • The app got its Apple-style reskin: clean neutral surfaces, near-black chrome, and a plain black login with a glass card.
  • Motion pass across the app — screens ease in, rows respond to touch, and every modal and toast animates consistently. All of it respects reduced-motion.
  • This website grew to 30 pages: a dedicated page for every feature (coach and swimmer sides), teams pages, a dashboard demo, an import demo, story, about, and contact.
  • The landing page became the cinematic: a paper meet sheet on a wet deck that becomes the iPad running the software.
0.3.NB2026-08-09
  • Meets now survive an app restart — save a meet, close everything, and it's still there, which also unlocks Meet Comparison and season standings.
  • Swimmer messages and Coach Q&A are real conversations now, running on the actual chat backend.
  • Hover cards stopped flickering for good (the root cause was found), and clicking one now pins it open until you click away.
  • Entries can be edited per event with in/out toggles for the whole roster; the console captures per-lane splits in both timing modes.
  • A real per-heat race clock, named age bands with cohort stats, and a timeline import that keeps scheduled and estimated times honestly separate.
0.3.MB2026-08-08
  • Hovering a swimmer's name (tap on touch) opens a live profile card in place — team-color initials, live meet status, and Open Profile / Add Note actions — without leaving the sheet.
  • Hovering a team's standings chip opens a team card with its real place, points, and percent-vs-seeds.
  • Design-only release — same data and logic as before, a new way to reach it.
0.3.MA2026-08-08
  • A full visual restyle across the console, standings, results board, meet sheet, and swimmer profile — same data and logic underneath, new look throughout.
  • Standings chips now show percent improvement; the results board flags records and personal bests inline.
  • Swimmer profiles link out to real SwimCloud pages. TimeDrops and Colorado Time Systems don't have public per-swimmer pages, so the app says that plainly instead of faking a link.
0.3.K2026-08-08
  • Paste in a Hy-Tek meet program (or upload the PDF) and the whole meet builds itself — events, heats, lanes, seeds, records, teams.
  • Paste in a results sheet and it merges into the meet, matched by event number and swimmer name, applied per team.
  • A floating panel tracks relay splits leg by leg while a relay is swimming.
  • Team stats and a swimmer-by-stroke report card export as CSV/TSV.
0.3.J2026-08-08
  • Meet scoring now follows your league's mode — dual (only home and away score) or champs (top-10 board) — instead of one fixed table.
  • A DQ can carry more than one code, with the official code sheet built in.
  • A manual “Next heat” button lets the coach drive the meet along by hand when there's no timing system.
0.3.I2026-08-08
  • A quick command menu for jumping between meets, teams, and settings.
  • A four-step team setup wizard at sign-up: profile, CSV roster import, join code, and a finish screen.
  • Login and sign-up got a full dark redesign to match the rest of the app.
0.3.H2026-08-08
  • Teams now have real roles — team manager, meet host, coach — so who can edit what is enforced, not just assumed.
  • A guided wizard for building a meet: sessions, events, and scoring rules.
  • The team page shows a join code, member list, and CSV roster import.
0.3.G2026-08-08
  • The USA Swimming DQ sheet is now built in as tappable buttons, organized by stroke.
  • Leagues can import their own custom DQ code sheet.
  • A meet settings screen: switch between timing-system and manual mode, pick a DQ sheet.
0.3.F2026-08-08
  • Win-probability simulation for meets: standings odds, swing events, and per-swimmer predictions.
  • An entry deadline that locks editing but keeps scratches, exports, and simulation working.
  • Results can now export in the SDIF format most meet software can read.
0.3.E2026-08-08
  • Swimmers and parents get their own side of the app: a read-only meet sheet, messages, notifications, and a profile.
0.3.D2026-08-07
  • Tap a swimmer's name anywhere to see their season, best times, and records in one card.
  • Event headers now show meet and league records, with swims that beat them flagged automatically.
  • Every upcoming event shows an estimated start time, with a Now marker on the sheet.
0.3.C2026-08-07
  • Real accounts with two-factor login (a 6-digit code), replacing the old UI-only gate.
  • The app opens with your last saved data even if the server is unreachable, and queues your changes to sync later.
  • Login and sign-up got a full dark redesign.
0.3.B2026-08-06
  • Fixed a rendering glitch on the phone tab bar that was clipping labels.
  • Team standings now show each team's real average time drop instead of the same placeholder number for everyone.
  • Long relay names now wrap instead of cutting off mid-word on phone screens.
0.3.A2026-08-06
  • A new iPad-first layout: a persistent nav rail, a live timing console, and the meet sheet, all visible together.
  • The console shows On Deck and Coming Up swimmers, estimated from the meet's timeline.
  • Scratches and DQs now show an undo option for 5 seconds after you tap them.
0.2
0.2.A2026-08-06
  • Cooper's brand palette applied throughout the app.
  • Login and Sign Up redesigned around a lane-rope motif.
  • Status now reads as color plus text, never color alone, for accessibility in direct sun.
0.1
0.1.B2026-08-06
  • Fixed a real bug: navigating directly to a coach screen bypassed the login gate entirely.
  • The “Swimmers” tab label, which was clipping to “Swimm,” is now “Team.”
0.1.A2026-08-06
  • First working version: every feature from the coach's notes has a real screen with real navigation and mock data.
  • Meet sheet with search and team filters, event detail, results, entries, scratches, relay builder, swimmer profiles, and notes.
  • No backend yet — everything runs on mock data, and the login screen is UI only.
